One lion. One man. One mission to protect what's left.
When Valentin Grüner found Sirga, she was a lion cub – abandoned, starving, and alone. His intention wasn't to raise her as a tame lioness, it was to give her a chance to grow up wild as possible. Today, Sirga lives independently in a protected part of Modisa's reserve. Sirga's story represents what's at stake: Africa is losing its wild places – and the animals that call them home.
